Recently Korean brand Laneige has been launched in India on Nykaa. Few months back I got Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask (20gm) from Changi Airport and cannot believe that it costed me 200 rupees more than the price at which it has been launched in India. Aren’t the airport prices are supposed be low than anywhere else! Anyway, as I have very dry lips and am always looking for products that will prevent my lips from drying out and cracking. Having read that lip masks are formulated to nourish lips at a deeper level than regular lip balms and applying them overnight helps to repair skin on the lips. Hence, I couldn’t wait to try one!
It comes in a small pink pot with a silicon spatula. The texture is wax like and melts on the lips on application. It is sticky, very hydrating and the fragrance is of a bubble-gum.
I have been using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for two weeks and I feel that it works nothing more than a good lip balm. When applied only overnight, it doesn’t make my lips soft and hydrated the next morning but, when applied throughout the day, every two hours, it does help in keeping the dryness at bay and lips do feel soft though not much help with the flakiness. Overall, I would like to say being a sleeping mask, it doesn’t live up to its description. Applying it once at night time is not of any help to my dry lips.
Have you ever tried Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask? What do you think of it?

It’s been a month since I’ve been using laneige lip sleeping mask (berry). It costed me like about ₹500 and unlike you I didn’t received that spatula too. Well before buying it i went through soo many positive reviews which convinced me to go for it. But the claim of (flakiness removal) has not been fulfilled. It’s moreover feels like a lip gloss.
