Valentine’s Day is around the corner and to celebrate the most romantic day of the year, I have picked up this wine coloured Michelle Lace Petite Dress from Forever New. Lace has always been considered luxurious, elegant and timeless. The option of LBD is always there but, wearing something from the red colour family adds on to the feminity.
This maxi dress has a peplum hem with a high-low profile and front slit. The front has a deep v and the back has keyhole neckline secured with hook-and-eye closure, hidden zip and button fastening.
I have paired the dress with nude coloured heels from Charles and Keith, have accessorized with a simple gold link chain from Zara, a bunch of roses and have kept the makeup minimal.
On a closer look at my pictures you will find that the price tag is there on all the bunches, of course they are artificial flowers. A friend had left them in our car so thought of using them for the shoot.
Valentine’s Day is considered as the most romantic day of the year. After being married for over 6 years, having a kid and being in my early 30s, I have started looking at things from a different perspective. For me, wedding anniversary is the most romantic time of the year. The unnecessary pressure of planning and gifting for an overly commercialized day is not there at all. A simple whatsapp message from my partner saying ‘I Love You’ makes each day as special and romantic as Valentines Day. The unnecessary pressure of planning and gifting for an overly commercialized day is not there at all.
I think I am going to be home with my mom, hubby and bub. What are your plans for the Valentines day?
